Calendula Salve

Gentle enough to use on your precious ones, calendula salve promotes healing in many skin conditions, minor cuts, scrapes, bug bites, rashes and burns. It provides moisture while allowing the skin to breathe so it can also be used on the most delicate skin, face and decolletage. Our calendula salve also fights the signs of aging with essential oils.

Ingredients:
Lemon essential oil is known to lighten age spot, sun spots and brighten and smooth complexion. Lemon essential oil also contains antimicrobial properties making it a great option for acne-prone skin or inflamed skin.

Tea Tree essential oil contains anti-microbial, anti-fungal properties that helps to foster the healing process and fight infection.

Lavender essential oil its calming properties soothe skin and work to decrease inflammation.

Our heirloom medicinal-grade calendula is grown organically right here at Foster Farmstead then slowly infused in both extra virgin olive oil and sweet almond oil. Both oils are breathable and will not clog pores making it beneficial for face application. Calendula contains anti fungal and antimicrobial properties which help prevent infection and heal broken skin. Calendula has anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties as well.

Vitamin E keeps skin cells healthy, protects skin from UV radiation damage and helps skin look smooth and soft. It minimizes the appearance of fine lines and soothes dry, chapped skin.

The vitamin A in sweet almond oil can help reduce acne and inflammation from many skin conditions. Sweet almond oil provides a breathable layer of moisture that will not clog pores.

We use local Ohio beeswax as a base for this salve which is also breathable and carries anti-microbial properties.

The ingredients above are shelf stable and can typically last 1 year or more. Store in a cool, dry place.
*It is recommended to use some of these essential oils on babies greater than 6 months of age.
